Program Advis Kebijakan Lingkungan dan Perubahan Iklim (PAKLIM), Indonesia

PAKLIM is a division of GIZ, and we worked with the education team tointegrate climate change education into the Indonesian national secondary curriculum. This involved writing integrated unit plans of work to combine the principles of climate change (and U.N. development goals) with the existing 2013 curriculum. Further phases include conducting workshops and developing a train the trainer package. The final phase involved writing an evaluation framework for Indonesain schools implementing climate change education. The framework was accompanied by a self-evaluation tool, supporting handbooks for leaders and teachers and updated unit plans.

Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA), India

Andrew worked through Mott McDonald as the school quality team leader. This required writing handbooks for secondary (years 8 and 9) leaders and teachers to accompany an existing school quality framework. He also advised on the development of the national Open Education Repository (OER) and an integrated online school management system.
